When in Boracay Island

Every Filipino should experience Boracay vacation once in their lifetime. Even though this place is crowded I still love going back to my happy beach, it was my fifth time last summer of 2016. It’s a perfect destination if you love swimming, food, shop and to party. Everything is here.

How to get here:

Book a flight to either Kalibo or Caticlan via Cebu Pacific, Airasia or Skyjet. To get the cheapest airfare, wait for seat sale or book months before your planned trip.

Via Kalibo – 45 minutes to one hour flying time plus 2 hours land trip to Caticlan, you can take the bus or van, fare with boat ticket is around P250 one way. Then another 10 minutes boat ride to get to the island.

Via Caticlan – it will only takes 35 minutes to get here, flights to Caticlan are more expensive. It’s near the jetty port around 5-10 minutes tricycle, you will pay for P50 per person with boat transfer already.

Aside from the transfer fee, you have to pay for environmental fee of P75 (adult) and P60 (student) plus terminal fee of P100.

When you are checked in to your hotel, it’s time to explore the island. Here are the things you may want to try.

Hello again guys, how are you? I know I have few pending post from my 2015 trips but I will write about my recent vacation in my happy beach – Boracay island. I spent 5 days and 4 nights with my friend Ma-ann, we call ourselves Barateras since we love to bargain and we are up to cheap accommodation, food etc. Actually our room costs only P585 per night good for two already but fan room, it has nice bathroom which I like. Anyway, fast forward to our 4th day, we went to Puka Beach, the other side of the island that is not too crowded. I love the place especially the nipa huts facing the beach perfect for pictorials haha. I have local friends who work in the same company but based in Boracay. Luckily, it was friend’s off at work so we went together . We arrived there around 4pm because the plan is just sunset session.

How we got there:

Took tricycle from the hi-way going to Puka Beach. Fare is P25 each, no entrance fee. Just bring food and drinks – no corkage fee. We rented one nipa hut for only P100 (good for us – 6 pax). We just bought beer in the sari-sari store.

Actually I am excited to share with you my work haha. I took photos of my local friends and they’re kilig when they saw it. I do not know if you will agree, here are my shots using Samsung Galaxy S6 edited thru Snapsee and VSCO app.
